Teaching As A Career (TAAC) Program

Inspiring the Next Generation of Educators

Since 1991, the Hawaii Education Association (HEA) has awarded grants to teachers establishing on-campus clubs that encourage students to go into education. Today, the Teaching As A Career (TAAC) program supports both student clubs and the Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways at the Hawaii Department of Education public schools.

To date, HEA with the partnership of Pi Lamba Theta Beta Hawaii Chapter since 2015, has provided more than $23,600 to clubs at 30 public high schools on five islands statewide.
