The Hawaii Education Association is collaborating with Chaminade professors Dr. Denise Dugan and Dr. Christopher Padesly to present a series of free professional development sessions focused on incorporating the art and science of Universal Design Learning into Hawaii classrooms.  These sessions are appropriate for Hawaii teachers in all grade levels, both general and special education, and are offered in a hybrid model, both at Chaminade in Brogan Hall Room 103 and on Zoom.

Universal Design Learning (UDL) helps you explore how your students relate to different subjects so that you can develop customized educational approaches to suit their individual needs.  It’s applicable for teaching all students, including those with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia, and accommodates students with diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

This series is ideal for educators with general education experience, but may not be familiar with UDL or have been intimidated by UDL because it seems so daunting. These sessions break down UDL into user-friendly, practical segments that you can confidently implement. Includes insights on how you can use artificial intelligence to simplify your efforts and save you time.

HYBRID KICK-OFF Meeting: You do not have to attend the Kick-off to participate in the subsequent hybrid meetings.
