Second grade at Pearl Ridge Elementary School was tough because of online classes during the pandemic, but I had an amazing teacher. It was his first year teaching, and he was the best. Mr. Doike is an awesome teacher who made a difference in my life.
He made learning fun in second grade. Mr. Doike made funny jokes. He made up humorous characters, like Baldi B., to teach us math. He also made a comedy game called The Unfair Game Show. The game made me want to learn more. I enjoyed second grade, even though it was online learning, because of Mr. Doike.
He taught me many new things. I learned how to multiply and divide–not a lot of kids learn how to do that in second grade. He also taught us how to make a pick a path adventure story in Google slides. I got a lot better in math and reading with Mr. Doike’s help. I feel happy that I got stronger in learning.
Finally, Mr. Doike is caring and kind. He always talked nicely, and he was patient. He waited for us to be ready to learn. He always tried to help us. I will remember when he wrote, “I am absolutely proud of what you were able to accomplish, and I am proud to say that you are part of my second grade class.” It made me want to cry because it was so nice.
I wish Mr. Doike could teach me every day! He made a difference in my life because he was so nice and taught me so many things. One day, I wish I could be his student again because he is so awesome.
