This policy was created to demonstrate the HEA’s firm commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This policy explains: (1) what personal information we collect about you, both online via the HEA website and HEA Intranet and offline via traditional, hard copy forms; (2) how we use that information; (3) what choices are available to you regarding such information collection; and, (4) what security we use to protect such information.

You may always “opt out” either now or at any time in the future if you do not wish to receive our messages (see “Option Out” below).

• The HEA uses your IP address only when submitted with a form, to register for an event or course, or when you create a user ID on our website.

• The HEA uses “cookie” messages to automatically provide better services. They remind us of who you are and what your preferences are for our website based on what you’ve done and told us before. Cookies let us take you to the information and features you are particularly interested in. You can reject cookies or cancel them by instructing your Web browser accordingly.

• Personal Information that we receive from third parties such as insurance claim information.
