Hawaii Education Association to inspire and uplift educators through new program

October 9, 2021

HI Now interviewed Jodie Cheff, Interim Principal at Waialae Elementary Public Charter School, who talked about how school-wide innovation encouraged COVID-19 safety and student engagement. Jodie is a guest speaker at the upcoming Educator Connection event on Friday, OCtober 15, where you’ll get to hear more about her story and learn how she navigated educating during the pandemic.

The segment also features our new Program Manager, Lynn Hammonds, who talks about the event’s forum and reveals the initiative that led to it. If you want to connect with like-minded colleagues about these kinds of innovations, click here to register!

HEA wants to showcase testimonials about amazing teachers to highlight the importance of our local educators. These stories will be featured throughout our website, newsletter and social media in 2021 as part of HEA’s 100th anniversary celebration.
