HEA Executive Director Laurie Togami (left) and HEA Board Member June Motokawa (right) recently celebrated the 100th birthday of Sarah Moriyama, an English teacher for three decades, who served as the HEA president for 10 years, and is now an Arcadia resident.

Six High Schools Advance Teaching as a Career
HEA recently awarded six Teaching As A Career (TAAC) grants totaling $1,200 to six high schools throughout the state. The winning schools each received $200 to help build their programs to encourage students to enter the teaching profession.
